OK, the picture you see is not from today (see yesterday) but it is the nicest one I took at the park ... After finding cloudy skies again this morning and some light rain, we decided to pack our tent, do the Monument Park loop and head for Mesa Verde.

The rocks in the Monument Valley are really impressive, two questions though a) how did they become the way they are? Geologically I mean and b) what does "Butte" mean. I think it has something to do with bottom, but Regula insists that this would be spelled differently.
